Welcome to Tennis at Smugglers' Notch, Vermont
Outdoor courts for all kinds of play, instruction, and programs!
Our Tennis Directors, Will Brooks and Mike Boggs bring a wealth of experience to Smugglers' Notch. Our directors and our teaching pros provide a top notch learning experience in our TenPro, Discover Tennis, and Junior Tennis Camp programs. We're also excited to offer two new programs for this Summer, Junior clinics on Monday and Friday, and the opportunity to Build Your Own Clinic.
The Smugglers' Notch Tennis Family Fun Center features 8 outdoor clay courts and 2 outdoor hard courts. Group and private tennis instruction is available. Tennis court time is available to those not in Tennis programs on a per hour basis. Enjoy evening play on 4 of our 10 courts. Court time should be reserved at The Tennis Family Fun Center no more than 24 hours in advance.
For all tennis programs, be sure to wear tennis shoes, as running shoes and hiking boots are not appropriate.
All of our tennis programs are June 11 - September 6, 2010.
TenPro Tennis School
For ages 17 & older. Our Tennis Pros evaluate your game and maintain a 6:1 student-instructor ratio for Monday-Friday clinics. Morning clinics are scheduled to coincide with our children's programs, so your kids are well cared for while you're on the court.
TenPro Tennis School includes:
Monday-Friday tennis clinics (1.5 hours)
Coached match play
Free tennis court time
$49 per person for the first day, $37 per person each additional day.
Discover Tennis
For ages 17 & older. Never played tennis? Discover Tennis is especially designed to introduce new players to the game and begin to build basic tennis strokes. Enjoy group lessons and private instruction with our skilled pros!
Discover Tennis includes:
Two one hour group lessons
A half-hour private tennis lesson
Complimentary racquet use
A free hour of court time

Junior Tennis Camp
For ages 9 - 17 years. Learn or improve technique, develop tennis strategies and of course play games! Groups will be created based on ability levels and instructors will put the fun in the FUNdamentals of tennis.
This 3-day program includes:
Skilled instruction
Warm-up exercises
A half-hour semi-private lesson
Coached match play
Tennis etiquette
Individual skill assessment
Activity & pool time
Tuesday - Thursday, 10:00 am - 3:00 pm. Lunch included. 3-day program $266 per person. FamilyFest guests take 25% OFF. Advance registration required. Space is limited. Call 1-800-419-4615.
Junior Clinics
Beginner — Intermediate Junior clinic — Ages 10-15. This clinic is designed for those players who have never played, have played very little, or could just use some extra work on the FUNndamentals of tennis.
Monday and Friday, 1:00 pm — 1:45 pm, $21 per youth advanced registration recommended.
Intermediate — Advanced Junior Clinic Ages 12-17. This clinic is designed for players from those who have some tennis playing experience to those who are currently playing high school tennis. The emphasis will be on shot-making, controlling the ball, and net play.
Monday and Friday, 2:00 pm — 3:00 pm, $21 per youth advanced registration recommended.
Early Risers Clinic
For tennis enthusiasts ages 5 - 8. Come explore the game of tennis with foam balls and fun play emphasizing fundamental skills and hand eye coordination. Beginners welcome, equipment provided. This clinic will be cancelled in case of inclement weather.
Wednesday 9:10 am - 9:45 am. $19 per person. Advance registration required.
Build Your Own Clinic
Design Your Own Clinic: select your own day, time, focus and style of your clinic. A minimum of (3) and a maximum of six (6) participants are needed to run the clinic.
$25/per person/hr for 3-4 players, $20.00 for 5-6 players
Private and Semi-Private Instruction
For all ages. Improve your overall game, work on a specific stroke, or just hit a ton of balls! One-on-one or small group private instruction is available "almost" anytime.
ProHit
For all ages. Already got game and just want a work out? Looking for a tough match or just a quality player to hit with for an hour? Sign up for a ProHit.
Tennis Court Time
For those not in TenPro Programs $17 per hour, 8:30 am - 6:00 pm; $12 per hour, 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm.
Weekend Tennis at Smuggs
With no formal tennis programming on the weekends you should have no trouble booking a court for individual play. In addition we will have an instructor available for private lessons, pro-hits, and for small groups interested in designing their own clinic. Come see us during the week or call us when you arrive to check out the unadvertised options.
