Edible Fondant Snowman & Snowflake
Monday, 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm
$25 per person, per session.


Edible play dough is made from marshmallows and powered sugar and it is called Marshmallow Fondant (MMF). We will make both an edible snowman and snowflake to top your frosted cupcakes. This class will teach you how fondant is used to decorate cakes. It will be fun for all ages! Lick your fingers now or later! Either way you’ll enjoy it!

Smuggs Mug Snowman Painting
Monday, 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
$20 per person, per session.


Come join us for a two-hour fun filled activity for all ages. Together we will make a snowman come alive on a clear glass mug. No snow, no carrots and no coal. Instead we will use acrylic enamel paints, brushes and a technique referred to as layering. After 24-hours you need to bake it in the oven to set. Then it will be ready to go. Let it snow!

Hot Chocolate from Around the World

Chocolate has been used since the days of the Aztec and Mayan people, where they believed that this sweet treat was a source of spiritual wisdom, energy and power. Come tantalize your taste buds and awaken your senses as you learn how to combine chocolate with spices and herbs! Join Kelley Robie, of Horsetail Herbs, in this decadent class to keep you warm all winter! We will talk about the health benefits of chocolate, warming spices and herbs, and make some amazing hot chocolates from around the world. You will receive tons of recipes and take home 3 hot chocolate blends. Meets at the Nordland Library. CLOSE

Join Kelley Robie, of Horsetail Herbs, in a class where you’ll learn to make the finest medicinal and culinary spirits. We will delve into the craft of blending the complex flavors of herbs, spices, and fruits with spirits for healing and pleasure. We will explore some history, have a few tastes and then everyone will prepare their own! Meets at the Nordland Library

Painter's Palette

Acrylic painting for anyone who has considered painting but didn't think they could, or for artists who wish to increase their creativity. Primary colors are explored, along with composition and play. Each person will be pleased to bring home a painting at the end of this session.

Sculpting Workshop
Thursday, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Explore your creative side as you develop natural forms into clay images in the three-dimensional art form. Nancy Schade leads you in clay modeling, learning the properties of various clays, and forming clay into a piece that can be finished. Take home a complete sculpture.

Needle felting is a method of making felt that involves a special needle instead of water, so we’ll stay warm and cozy with dry hands during these classes. Come learn this fun and easy craft, or hone your skills if you already have some experience. Leave with your own hand crafted snowman. All materials provided. No experience necessary. Appropriate for ages 8 and up. Kids under 14 with adult companion only, please. Extra supplies and kits will be for sale if people want to take the hobby home with them.
