Vermont Winter Experience Celebrate the joys of the Winter season! From tube sliding to guided snowshoe treks, our Vermont Winter Experience program will introduce you and your family to all of the wonderful adventures that Winter in Vermont has to offer. You'll carry home memories as unique and special as each twinkling snowflake!
Select from a morning walk, snowshoe trek or cross-country ski outing led by guides, who share their knowledge of our region's history, heritage and nature. Family treks focus on the kids with fun nature facts and a child-friendly pace. On our network of trails, you'll meander past snow draped evergreens, gaze from open meadows at the mountain vistas, and perhaps discover trees where beavers have left their mark.
In the afternoon, whoop and holler as you slide down the hill on a snow tube. You might join other families for an adventure race, or strap on your snowshoes for another exploration. If you prefer to spend your afternoon indoors, take a swim in the indoor pool or soak in one of our hot tubs. As the sun sets on another fun-filled day, meet friends new and old at the bonfire and plan your next snowy adventure!

Ice Fishing Tours We can't make it through the winter without fishing, so why not join us for a great winter experience? Try your luck with tip-ups and jigging for fish on some of Vermont's most scenic lakes with our guided instructional ice fishing tours. Throughout the winter we target many different species of fish in many different bodies of water. These species include Northern Pike, Landlocked Salmon and Lake Trout. We will also pursue many other types of fish, including Brown and Rainbow Trout, Yellow Perch and many more. These trips are great for people who don't even know what ice-fishing is, or for an experienced ice-fisherman who is visiting and doesn't have any of their gear. We will show you our secret techniques to getting more fish on the ice both by jigging and use of tip-ups. We explain when to use which setup and when its best to use a combination of the two. Available daily by reservation. 1 person - $169 for 4 hours, $49 for each additional person. To book a trip or for more information please call the Fly Rod Shop at 1-802-253-7346.
