Do you remember the last time you surprised yourself by doing something you had only dreamed about? The rush you got after you challenged yourself with something new and were successful? Our SSU instructors get the same rush when they help you with those challenges. Whether you are a first time skier/rider new to the sport, an intermediate looking to explore more challenging terrain, or an expert looking for some quick coaching before tackling the triple blacks, our highly qualified instructors can help you develop the skills and state of mind to meet those goals. Your vacation time is a terrible thing to waste. Why spend your valuable time being frustrated, discouraged, or bored, when you could experience the rush of expanding your skills. Whether it’s the top of Morse, or the trees, moguls, steeps, and terrain parks of Sterling and Madonna, we can help you explore new terrain. We also know the importance of equipment, and will make sure that your equipment is enhancing not hindering your skiing.

MAX5 LESSONS. Maximize your experience!!
Regardless of your experience or skill level, MAX5 will maximize your performance while minimizing your frustration. This 2.5 hour program matches you up with no more than 5 others who share your goals. Under the guidance of our best instructors, learn how to use the skills you have to maximize your mountain experience. You also have the option of signing up for an additional 1.5 hour session with the same instructor in the afternoon. For the best results we recommend that you sign up for multiple days. Space is limited in this program, so pre-registration is strongly recommended.

$75 per adult, per 2 1/2 hour session. Buy 4 or more consecutive days and get the 5th day free. Pre-registration is required as space is limited for this program.

Offered Daily 10:00 am - 12:30 pm (Levels 1-9). Minimum enrollment of 2 students to participate or the lesson automatically becomes a 2 hour lesson beginning at the original start time.

Our Snow Sport Learning Programs are the best your family will ever experience! We guarantee that each member of your family will have fun, learn to ski or snowboard or will improve technique, no matter what his or her current level of ability - novice to expert - or we will refund the entire lesson portion of that person's vacation package. It's as simple as that.

Alpine Ski or Snowboard 1 1/2 hour Group Lessons
1 1/2-hour group lesson. Specifically designed to help each individual, novice to expert! Guaranteed to get results.

Daily (Levels 1-9) 10:00 am - 11:30 am $65 per person, per session or 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm $45 per person, per session

Daily, 1 1/2-Hour Adult Learn to Ski or Snowboard Group Lessons (Levels 1 & 2) included with paid Club Smugglers' Advantage Package.
Telemark Ski Lessons
1 1/2-hour group lesson. Learning to telemark can take your alpine skiing to a new level. Telemark skiing can also be a great way to explore the backcountry. We have the staff that can get you going, or improve the skills you already have.

Thursday 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
$45 per person, per session
Alpine Ski, Snowboard or Telemark Ski Private Lessons

1-hour, private lessons for alpine ski, snowboard or telemark ski. Even Olympic athletes benefit from private coaching. Maximize the time and attention to YOUR needs and goals. Available in 1-hour or multi-hour sessions. Pre-registration is strongly advised, especially for Peak times, as space is limited.

Offered daily. Non-peak times: 8:30 am, & 3:00 pm.
Peak times: 10:00 am, 11:00 am, 12:00 noon, 1:00 & 2:00 pm.
Non-peak rate: $75 for first person, $50 per additional person.
Peak rate: $95 for first person, $60 per additional person.

Mom & Me, Dad & Me Ski & Snowboard Semi-Private Lessons
1-hour semi-private lesson. A unique opportunity to learn some of the skills and games that will help you be a teacher introducing your child to alpine skiing or snowboarding. You should be at least an intermediate skier or rider, and your child should be a First Timer, age 3-5 years old.

Daily 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
$75 per lesson, per hour, includes two persons.
6-Hour Private Instruction or Guided Tour
This program is ideal for the individual or group that wants personal, private instruction and guiding for the whole day. With your personal coach, you can spend the entire day exploring and enhancing your skills, or your group can split up the day between family members of different ages and abilities.

Offered daily 9:00 am or 10:00 am start time.
Meet at the Private Lesson meeting place at the Gazebo by the Village Lift.
$349 per person, or make your own group up to 5 people for $449. Pre-registration is required as space is limited for this program.
Private Instruction with Snow Sport University Director, Peter Ingvoldstad
Peter Ingvoldstad is internationally recognized as a dynamic developer of innovative teaching techniques for children and adults.

$150 per hour. Space available basis.
Night School for Boarding
This 2 1/2-hour program is a great opportunity for the entire family to learn a new sport! Includes a 1 1/2-hour lesson, equipment rental and Sir Henry's Lift. (ages 6 & older)

Tuesday & Wednesday, 4:30 pm - 7:00 pm
$49 per person, per session, including equipment rental. Must sign up prior to 3:30 pm. Space available basis. Get outfitted for your equipment between 2:30 pm and 3:30 pm at 3 Mountain Equipment shop. Meet at Sir Henry's Learning & Fun Park after you've gotten your equipment.
Snowshoe Lessons
1 1/2-hour group lesson. Try one of our Group Treks, and you'll discover one of the oldest ways to enjoy the beauty of Winter! Equipment will be provided.

Cross-Country Lessons
1 1/2-hour group lesson. Experience the simplicity of cross-country skiing. From beginner to expert... success guaranteed!

Get personalized instruction in cross-country ski techniques from our skilled instructors.
Daily 11:45 am - 12:45 am, by appointment.
