OPENING DAY! Come on out and help us to kick off the 2009/10 Winter Season! Intermediate terrain will be open on Sterling Mountain. Birch Run Terrain Park will also be open! There's nothing better after a big Thanksgiving dinner than taking a few early season turns.

5TH ANNUAL CAMBRIDGE CHRISTMAS SHOW - A variety show featuring gifted local talent of all ages! Hosted by singer/dj Annie Rheaume, this evening event is a festive way to kick off the holiday season. 6:30 p.m., Cambridge Elementary School gym in Jeffersonville. Admission by donation to the Cambridge Food Shelf.
CAMBRIDGE AREA ROTARY SKI, RIDE & SKATE SWAP - Friday is drop off from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Cambridge Elementary in Jeffersonville. Sale Saturday and Sunday, pick up unsold items Sunday, 2:00 - 3:00 p.m.

This is the first of three Gravity Control events; come check out what Smuggs has in store! $25 entry fee gets you in to compete for cash and prizes! WINTER TRAILS DAY - An afternoon celebration of snowshoeing and cross country skiing free for those new to both sport. Smugglers' Nordic Ski and Snowshoe Adventure Center will provide free rentals and offer short instructional sessions from 12:00 noon until 4:00 pm for first time snowshoers and cross country skiers. A $10 entry cover charge donation to the Club gets you $50 in "Casino Cash"! Ages 18 & older.
PHAT DAY! - Protect Your Head at All Times! Stop by the PHAT table in the Base Lodge during the day to learn about helmet safety on the slopes. Enter the raffles to win a free helmet! Free posters and stickers also available. 9:00 am - 3:00 pm.

SUPER SUNDAY - Come watch Super Bowl XLIV live from Miami at our Big Game Football Party. 9th Annual Northern Vermont Snowshoe Race and Family Snowshoe Festival - Smugglers' and TSL Snowshoes present this exciting day of treks, walks and races on snowshoes. There's something for everyone: a 1/2K kids' fun run, a 4K fun run/walk, and an 8K race that is a qualifier for the 2010 US Snowshoe Association National Championship. Sign up at the Smugglers' Nordic Ski and Snowshoe Adventure Center or stop by the center to cheer on participants.
VERMONT SPECIALTY FOOD TASTING - Sample delicious food products from our Green Mountain State. Enjoy Cabot Cheese, maple products and much more ... we recommend visiting the sample stand with an empty tummy! 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm in the check-in lobby.

The festivities begin at 2:00 pm!

HELLY HANSEN BIG MOUNTAIN BATTLE - Back to Smuggs for a second year! Smugglers' three mountains are a regional competition site for this fun and physical challenge featuring teams of two taking on big mountains across the US. Teams negotiate mountain checkpoints in a three-hour course and are tracked by FLAIK GPS systems. Winners go on to finals at Aspen. Sign up for a team or spectate and cheer the Smuggs teams on! Ask our Ski & Ride department for details about signing up.

EASTER SUNDAY SUNRISE SERVICE - A non-denominational sunrise service will be performed at the top of Sterling Mountain. Skiers & riders and non-skiers & riders, are invited. The Sterling Lift will run from 6:00 am to 6:30 am for the 7:00 am service. After the service, ride the lift down or ski or ride down. This event is FREE and open to the public.
