Saturday, October 10 & Sunday, October 11 SMUGGLERS’ NOTCH SKI & SNOWBOARD CLUB ANNUAL SALE — Get the best deals on skis, snowboards, and other gear at the Tarrant Recreation Center at St. Michael's College. This great sale, now in its 30th year, helps support the non-profit club's ski and snowboard youth programs. On Saturday from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, you can also purchase your Season Pass and Bash Badge at the pre-Halloween rates and SAVE! Sale days and times: Saturday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm; Sunday, 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. Items to be sold on consignment can be dropped off Friday 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
Saturday, October 24 8th Annual Barn Bash. Join Backcountry Magazine, Smugglers' Notch Resort and Union Bank, VT & NH for the eighth-annual Barn Bash and Raffle on Saturday October, 24 2015! The kids show starts at 3:30 pm, adult show starts at 7:00 pm. Live music, food, drink (provided by von Trapp Brewing), movies and HUGE GEAR RAFFLE. All proceeds to benefit Cambridge Rotary Winter Wellness Days. This year we’re introducing our first Fall Line Film Festival, a compilation of short videos submitted by our readers, friends and industry partners. Proceeds benefit Winter Wellness Days ski & ride program at Cambridge Elementary School and the community skating rink. A DJ spins the tunes and the Resort's Mountain Grille provides tasty munchies. From 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm in the Meeting House. BrewFest Part 2 is April 2, 2016 Friday, January 8 World's Largest Ski/Snowboard Lesson - For the first time, Smugglers' will be a part of this event, sponsored by the folks who bring National Learn To Ski and Snowboard Month to life in January. All over the country, participating resorts will organize a giant lesson at 10:00 am, with the goal of setting a new Guinness World Record for the most skiers learning to ski and snowboard at one time, and enticing newbies in a fun way to check out the sports! Please check back for details on the registration process for setting up your learn to ski or learn to snowboard session at Smugglers' on this day. Saturday, February 6 SKI Magazine Reader Appreciation Day — Join us at Smugglers' Notch Resort for our SKI Magazine Reader Appreciation Day. SKI Magazine afternoon events at the Gazebo in Smugglers' Resort Village from 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm include scavenger hunts, games, bonfire, hot cocoa, and more! Plus you can enter to win a Smugglers' Notch getaway for four! Enjoy a special vacation offer when you stay 3 nights or more between February 1st and 8th!
Sunday, February 7 15th Annual Northern Vermont Snowshoe Race and Family Snowshoe Festival - Smugglers' and TSL Snowshoes present this exciting day of treks, walks and races on snowshoes. There's something for everyone: a 1/2K kids' fun run, a 4K fun run/walk, and an 8K race that is a qualifier for the 2015 US Snowshoe Association National Championship. Rentals are available at the Nordic Center. A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House in Burlington, Vermont and the food shelf in Cambridge, Vermont.
Friday, February 12 RAILS FOR RYAN - Join us from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm as Smugglers' Notch presents the 3rd Annual "Rails for Ryan" rail jam under the lights at the Madonna/Sterling Base Lodge, featuring stoke-raising beats by DJ Rekkon. Competing and spectating are both FREE, with a suggested $5 donation to benefit the Flyin' Ryan Foundation, established to support local athletes and honor the memory of local champion extreme skier Ryan Hawks ( www.flyinryanhawks.org). In support of the foundation's efforts, Smuggs will match the total donation amount! The Black Bear Tavern will be serving food and beverages throughout the event. Compete or simply join us for a good time. Prizes will be awarded to those who step up and really throw down. Registration begins at 4:00 pm in the Base Lodge. Don't let the cold keep you at home, there are plenty of ways to warm up here ...
Thursday, February 18 FamilyFun Magazine Winter Carnival - Always a family favorite! FamilyFun Magazine teams up with Smugglers' for this special Winter Carnival on our Village Green featuring music and live entertainment plus face painting, games, a bonfire, giveaways and an outdoor barbeque. The festivities begin at 2:30 pm!
Bonfire, torchlight parade and fireworks - Join us for the fun as we light up the night sky with a bonfire, dramatic torchlight parade starring our Snow Sport University instructors, and fireworks against the backdrop of the Green Mountains! The Village Green offers a great vantage point for watching the action. 8:00 pm. Sunday, March 6 Extreme Skiing Challenge - The Smugglers' Notch Ski and Snowboard Club will host the 2015 Smugglers' Notch Extreme Skiing Challenge – an opportunity for junior and adult freeskiers to show their stuff on some of the most difficult terrain Smugglers' Notch has to offer! The course is planned for the Madonna headwall, an ungroomed steep with a double fall line descent filled with cliffs, bumps, trees, chutes, and stumps. Competitors will be judged on line, control, fluidity, technique and style.
As the competitors run the course on the headwall from just below Catwalk to just above Madonna midstation, the best seats in the house for watching the excitement will be on the Madonna summit lift. Spectators also can view from a roped off area at the Red Fox Glades near the finish area at the base of the Madonna headwall, easily accessed from midstation.
$45 entry fee (includes t-shirt) and $39 lift ticket available. The field will be capped at 100 competitors.
Saturday, March 26 Blast From the Past Race - The Smugglers' Notch Ski & Snowboard Club invites skiers (21 & over) to bash gates and relive their glory days with a qualifying GS course beginning at 9:30 am (two runs; best run of two) followed by a pro-style dual SL course for the top 16 men and the top 8 women. The equipment doesn't have to be "old," just the racers. Hamburger/hot dog barbecue and beverages included in the entry fee of $35. Registration takes place from 7:30 am - 9:00 am; inspection from 8:15 am - 9:15 am. Call 802-644-1177 for more information. It's the 21st year of Blast from the Past - come celebrate! Saturday, April 2 21st Annual BrewFest Part 2 - Sample the finest in Vermont and regional craft beers as well as traditional favorites and ciders! Our Spring BrewFest highlights the season's lighter flavors.

Saturday, April 9 4th Annual Pond Skimming in the Zone Terrain Park! The event is free! Registration starts at 10:00 am at the Parking Lot 1 Yurt and the event starts at 12:00 noon. Prizes awarded for best costume and most spectacular landing! Spectators are welcome!
