Friday, November 27th
OPENING DAY! Come on out and help us to kick off the 2009/10 Winter Season! Intermediate terrain will be open on Sterling Mountain. Birch Run Terrain Park will also be open! There's nothing better after a big Thanksgiving dinner than taking a few early season turns.
Friday, December 4th
5TH ANNUAL CAMBRIDGE CHRISTMAS SHOW - A variety show featuring gifted local talent of all ages! Hosted by singer/dj Annie Rheaume, this evening event is a festive way to kick off the holiday season. 6:30 p.m., Cambridge Elementary School gym in Jeffersonville. Admission by donation to the Cambridge Food Shelf.
CAMBRIDGE AREA ROTARY SKI, RIDE & SKATE SWAP - Friday is drop off from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Cambridge Elementary in Jeffersonville. Sale Saturday and Sunday, pick up unsold items Sunday, 2:00 - 3:00 p.m.

15TH ANNUAL BREWFEST Part 1 - Sample the finest in local & regional beers and wines, with music, munchies, and prizes. From 6:00 pm — 10:00 pm in the Meeting House. Tickets are $15 at the door - 21 and older, please. For BrewFest lodging information call 800-521-0536.

CAMBRIDGE AREA ROTARY SKI, RIDE & SKATE SWAP. Sale of good condition snowboards, skis, skates and accessories in Cambridge Elementary School cafeteria in Jeffersonville. 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Proceeds benefit Winter Wellness Days program at the school.

NEVADO MOUNTAIN ADVENTURES - Demo this year's latest and greatest mountain gear. Nevado offers access to products from 30 top winter sports manufacturers. You may swap out equipment as many times as you like and everything is free to demo!

GRAVITY CONTROL RAIL JAM - It's time to dust off the shred sticks and throw down some early season tricks. This is the first of three Gravity Control events; come check out what Smuggs has in store! $15.00 entry fee gets you in to compete for cash and prizes! Registration begins at 8:00 am at the Base Lodge and the event starts at 10:00 am.

THE BIG STEEZY AT SMUGGS - Steez Magazine presents a big air competition at The Zone. Registration begins at 9:00 am at the Base Lodge; the event kicks off at 11:00 am. $20 entry fee. For more on Steez, check out steezminimag.com

HERITAGE WINTERFEST - The Smugglers' Notch Area Chamber of Commerce presents a community celebration of Winter! Events include the nationally recognized Primitive Biathlon (featuring period costumes, snowshoes, and muskets; biathlon continues on Sunday, January 31), a guided snowshoe nature walk at Smugglers' Notch Resort's Nordic Center, children's story hour, sleigh rides, lasagna dinner, a family contra dance, bonfire and fireworks as the grand finale! CASINO NIGHT - Viva Notch Vegas! Game tables, door prizes, silent auction, music, munchies ... what more could you want? A fun night for all! Casino Night benefits the Smugglers' Notch Ski and Snowboard Club's youth racing programs. 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm in the lower level of The Meeting House. A $10 entry cover charge donation to the Club gets you $50 in "Casino Cash"! Ages 18 & older.
PHAT DAY! - Protect Your Head at All Times! Stop by the PHAT tables in the Base Lodge and the Village to learn about helmet safety on the slopes. Enter the raffles to win a free helmet! Free posters and stickers also available. 9:00 am - 3:00 pm.

DISNEY AND FAMILYFUN MAGAZINE WINTER CARNIVAL - Disney and FamilyFun Magazine are teaming up with Smugglers' to bring you a special Winter Carnival on February 25th! You're invited to join us for music and live entertainment on the Village Green. Join in the fun of face painting, interactive games, snow games, clowns, magicians, bonfire, specialty food samplings, giveaways and goody bags, plus an outdoor barbeque. The festivities begin at 2:00 pm!

HELLY HANSEN BIG MOUNTAIN BATTLE - Back to Smuggs for a second year! This fun and physical challenge features teams of two taking on big mountains at regional competition sites across the United States. Teams negotiate mountain checkpoints in a three-hour course and are tracked by FLAIK GPS systems. Winners go on to finals at Aspen in April. Registration information to come; stay tuned!
