Get Ready for Smuggs!

Stacy in for Hugh. Don’t worry, he’ll be back soon.

Snowmaking

The arrival of snow on the mountain has gotten all of us psyched to see skiing & riding arriving soon to the slopes of Smuggs. It is early season and our snowmakers are on point to make snow when temperatures permit. Temperatures moving forward are variable through Thanksgiving, which may make it difficult to have man-made snow opportunities. We are projecting opening on Friday, November 26, weather-dependent.

Please stay informed by checking the Snow Report, signing up for our Snow Report emails, texting SNOW to 855-421-2279 for all on-mountain updates, and of course right here on Hugh’s Views.

Plan ahead and buy your tickets online, in advance & SAVE.

See you on the slopes.

Time to get FLAKEY!

Rockin’ Ron for Hugh. With COVID-19, there are some new procedures on the mountain like the ghost lines at the lift corrals and only riding up with the people in your arrival party. But… there are more things that are the same. There’s seeing familiar faces of friends and co-workers like Larry, Dara & Darrell (OK, Darrell is there for comedic effect). There’s a sense of joyful anticipation in Parking Lot 1. And even if it’s not another beautiful day, there’s the unmatched thrill of skiing or riding down the mountain! You know the saying “the worst day of skiing is better than the best day in the office.” It’s time to get FLAKEY!

This snowman says “with snow and snowmaking in the near future, it’s time to get FLAKEY!”
