Friends in Snow Places

I’ve got friends in SNOW places, where the trails flow with ski races. It’s always fun to take some runs with my long-time Smuggs friends Andy, Josh, and Seth from Long Island (mom Betty was chillin’ in the condo with a book). They are one of the families that help make us America’s Family Resort.
Snowmaking near the intersection of Mulcahy’s Link and Upper Chilcoot will help us get Madonna Mountain open from the top… soon. The Snowmakers are also busy on Practice Slope.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAWyndham Senior Sales Rep Scott Tobin takes a break from his desk to enjoy some sunshine and corduroy! I was taking in the beautiful views at the summit of Madonna and all of the sudden Scott appeared. We took a few runs together on Madonna and Sterling. We did a nice long cruiser run on Upper Chilcoot to Mulcahy’s Link. We skied Upper Pipeline next and it was in great shape. It was groomed last night and is skiing fantastic.  As a matter of fact all three photos of Scott were taken on Upper Pipeline.  We have top to bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with 4 lifts operating. We have 54 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. 139 acres of freshly groomed terrain.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Snow Sport University Ski Lesson on Sterling

I would have to say that spring has sprung. Today’s conditions were soft, from the bottom all the way to the top of Madonna.  I had a great day with my friends Tony and Ken! We skied Sally’s Alley, Upper FIS, Bootlegger, Smugglers’ Alley, Black Bear, Upper Chilcoot, and Lower Exhibition.  Bootlegger was groomed a few nights ago and is skiing really well. I’m amazed with the size of the drift on Upper Chilcoot at the entrance to Sally’s Alley. You can see the drift in the photo to the right with Tony, who is 6 feet tall standing on the drift. We have tons of snow, which will make for some great spring skiing and riding!
