Blue Skies and Blue Trails

3 Mountain Logo

Rockin’ Ron for Hugh. Wow! What a beautiful blue day. Nothing lifts the spirits like a sunny day on the slopes. I skied on all 3 mountains. My favorite run was Lower Chilcoot. I got to catch up with the “powder pundit” himself, Sherm White. I got to see the stalwarts of the Black Bear Tavern – Ann and Rachel when I stopped in for lunch. Then I ran into local music legends and longtime Smugglers Dale & Darcy. BTW – they’re playing at the Hearth & Candle this Thursday at 5:30.

Recent snowmaking on Upper Chilcoot and Waterfall portend for an opening of the Madonna I Lift in the near future. For tomorrow we plan to have the same 41 trails open as today, with 20 trails being groomed – for 94 acres of freshly groomed terrain.

They’ll soon be scraping the snow off the chairs on Madonna I.
Ann and Rachel are your friendly servers at the Black Bear Tavern, where Labatts is the beer special this weekend. Jammin’ Sam will be playing guitar and singing at Sunday’s Apres Sports Party.
So many trails, so little time.
SSU Veteran Sherm White was my co-pilot on this Sterling Lift ride.
