Calm before the storm

3 Mountain Logo

Currently, it is foggy and 35 degrees at the summit of Sterling, with winds of 5 to 10 mph. Today’s forecast is calling for a chance of rain, mostly in the afternoon, with a high of 51 degrees at the base and 46 degrees at higher elevations. Wear something waterproof and enjoy the soft conditions today. We have a winter storm warning starting tonight. 3 to 5 inches of snow tonight, 9 to 13 inches of snow tomorrow, and another 1 to 3 inches of snow on Monday night! Today, we plan to have Sterling Lift operating with 22 trails open for intermediates and experts. We also have Mogul Mouse’s Magic Lift and Sir Henry’s Glider open for beginners. Surface conditions are machine groomed and variable, with average base depths of 12 to 36 inches.
