Freshies

We received 4 to 6 inches of new snow overnight and this morning. This new snow is just what the doctor ordered. It is dense and it bonded well with the existing snow pack. Ski Patrol has been busy dropping ropes. We now have 26 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. We have the Sterling Lift, Sir Henry’s Glider, and Mogul Mouse’s Magic Lift open to mid-station. 8 trails have been groomed for today, that’s a total of 39 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are packed powder and machine groomed with average base depths of 10 to 40 inches. Currently, it is cloudy and 19 degrees at the summit of Sterling with winds of 10 to 20 mph. Today’s forecast is cloudy skies with a chance of snow showers early another 1 to 2 inches of accumulation possible, a high of 30 degrees at the base and 21 degrees at higher elevations. Temperatures will be falling throughout the day. Enjoy the new snow!
