The year is off to a good start

I went snowboarding this morning on Morse Mountain. Garden Path, Sam’s Run, Lower Morse Liftline, and the Magic Learning Trail were all fun. I then grabbed my ski gear and headed to Sterling. I would have to say my trail pick of the day was Snake Bite. It has quite the pitch, and that always gets your attention! Tomorrow, we plan to have the Village Lift, Mogul Mouse’s Magic Lift, Sir Henry’s Glider, and Sterling Lift all operating. We have 15 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. All 15 trails will be groomed for tomorrow for a total of 63 acres of freshly groomed terrain. We are presently making snow on Midway and Meadowlark. Surface conditions are machine groomed and loose granular with average base depths of 12 to 36 inches. Currently, it is cloudy and 11 degrees at the summit of Sterling with winds of 5 to 10 mph. Tomorrow’s forecast calls for cloudy skies early, becoming partly sunny with a high of 29 degrees at the base and 27 degrees at higher elevations. Happy New Year!
