Activity-based packages entice visitors for Fall 2012
Travelers seeking to enjoy Vermont's legendary Fall season will find the lowest rates of the year, a variety of activities, and a beautiful and relaxing mountainside setting at Smugglers' Notch Resort. Smugglers' Resort Village is a convenient and comfortable home base from which to explore Vermont's beautiful countryside and enjoy apple picking, hiking, biking, harvest festivals, and other highlights of Fall travel.
The Resort's core package for Fall is AutumnFest, offered from September 3 through October 14, 2012. Package rates start at $238 for two nights of lodging in a studio condominium. Guests on this package staying 3 nights or longer may stay an extra night at no additional cost. AutumnFest includes fully-appointed mountainside Resort Village condominium lodging, evening entertainment and use of Resort amenities such as the pools and hot tubs, mini golf, disc golf, playgrounds, skate park, tennis courts, basketball and shuffleboard. The Resort's indoor FunZone full of climbing inflatables and games is open Thursday through Sunday.
AutumnFest guests enjoy a 50 percent discount on the weekday Kids' Connection program for ages 6 weeks to 8 years at the Resort's child care center Treasures and the Autumn Adventures program for ages 9-17. Kids' Connection includes games, crafts, and outdoor exploration in full day or half day programs (regular price $85/full day and $60 half day). Autumn Adventures offers a variety of crafts, nature exploration and outdoor adventures such as outdoor survival skill building, kayaking, canoeing, tree climbing and Via Ferrata rock climbing and canyoneering on selected days (regular price $85, includes lunch).
The following specialty packages also feature the AutumnFest inclusions (pricing is based on double occupancy in a studio condominium): Relaxation Package: This package includes two 50 minute massages, a welcome gift of Vermont's award-winning Cabot cheese; and three breakfasts at the Resort's Morse Mountain Grille. This three night/three day package starts at $368.50 per person.
Zip Line Canopy Tour Package: This two night/two day package includes the thrill of Smugglers' three-hour canopy tour with nine zip lines, one suspension bridge and two rappels. The package starts at $209.00 per person.
Canoe & Kayak Package: Explore Vermont's meandering Lamoille River with a Friday or Saturday canoe or kayak rental and guided canoe or kayak trip to a tasting at a local winery. This three night/three day package starts at $248.50 per person.
See Vermont and Beyond: Smugglers' guides do the driving for day visits to the cosmopolitan city of Montreal, Canada; to delicious food emporiums such as Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream and Cold Hollow Cider Mill; and to Vermont scenic sites. This four night/four day package starts at $408 per person.
Specialty packages offered on select weekends include: The Great Golf Escape: Available September 21-23, 2012, golf lovers will enjoy an international scramble at a nearby course with greens fees and cart rental included, plus AutumnFest inclusions. This two night/two day package starts at $164 per person based on double occupancy in a studio condominium.
The Discover Food and Wine Festival on the evening of October 6, 2012 highlights delicious Vermont specialty foods complimented by wine tastings from Vermont, international and other U.S. wineries. The lodging package for this weekend (Columbus Day Weekend, October 5-8, 2012) includes entry to the festival, three breakfasts at the Resort's Morse Mountain Grille, plus the AutumnFest inclusions. This three night/three day package starts at $237.50 per person based on double occupancy in a studio condominium.
