Smugglers' Notch Ski & Snowboard Club athletes receive scholarships from Flyin Ryan Hawks Foundation Foundation supports dreams of local youth in memory of extreme skiing athlete Hawks
The Flyin Ryan Foundation was created in memory of Ryan Hawks, a world champion extreme skier from Vermont who died in March 2011 at age 25 as a result of a crash during the Subaru Freeskiing World Tour. Smugglers' Notch Resort is a center of influence where anyone interested can register as a contributing ambassador to support the foundation's ideals. The resort supports with season passes athletes of the Smugglers' Notch Ski and Snowboard Club who apply for and are awarded scholarships with the foundation.
