Today we have 3 lifts operating; Sterling Lift, Sir Henry’s Wonder Carpet, and Mogul Mouse Magic Lift. We have 11 trails open today, including Smugglers’ Alley. All 11 trails have been groomed for today, that’s a grand total of 46 acres of freshly groomed terrain. We are presently making snow on Midway, Meadowlark, Birch Run, and the Practice Slope. Surface conditions are machine groomed and variable with average base depths of 12 to 48 inches. This weekend we plan to have skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with the Madonna II Lift operating. We also plan to open Midway and Meadowlark tomorrow, so that you can ski or ride to the upper mountains and back. Currently, it is partly sunny and 20 degrees at the summit of Sterling with winds of 10 to 20 mph. Today’s forecast is calling for partly sunny skies early with increasing clouds and a high of 35 degrees.
