What's New at Smugglers' Notch Vermont

Winter 2007-2008

WHAT'S NEW FOR WINTER 2007-2008

SKI magazine award - Published in the October 2007 issue of SKI magazine, and for the 9th year (!), Smugglers’ has placed #1 in Family Programs in all of North America in a poll of the magazine’s readers. Other top citations for Smugglers' and its comprehensive winter family vacations include #1 in the East for Service, Lodging, and Overall Satisfaction.

More glades - Smugglers' Notch Resort is presenting skiers and riders with still more glades this Winter, bringing the Resort's
gladed terrain to over 45 acres and 22 percent of the total skiable and patrolled area. Some of the new glades will be on skier's right off of the venerable Doc Dempsey's trail on Madonna Mountain, a challenging mountain with classic New England terrain.

Makeover for the FunZone - This indoor play area at Smugglers' Notch Resort has been a hit with families since its creation eight years ago, and it still brings an exciting twist to winter family fun. This year, families will love new inflatables, including a giant obstacle course, a child's obstacle course, a fidget ladder, a crawl-through for the eight and under crowd, and an indoor mini-golf course. Use of the FunZone is included in the Club Smugglers' Advantage Package.

More fun for Little Rascals on Snow - Smugglers' teaching program for toddlers, entering its third season, will benefit from a new conveyor lift right at its homebase, TREASURES Child Care Center, as well as new toddler-friendly ski equipment.

Extended lessons added to teaching program - Max 5! is Smugglers' Notch Resort's new 2.5 hour lesson program for groups of no more than five participants. The longer format gives more time to the learning progression and enhances the success rate and fun for students. Traditional 1.5 hour and private lesson formats remain popular choices among the extensive options at the Resort's
Snow Sport University.
