NEWS FOR WINTER 2017-2018

Smugglers’ Notch Resort continues to build on the award-winning programs and amenities which aim to provide an exceptional experience for fun-lovers of all ages. The completion of the brand new FunZone 2.0 hits that mark and then some. With activities like a multi-course Smugglers’ Warrior Challenge, massive laser tag arena, Smugglers’ themed Mountain Rally Races slot car track, arcade, and transparent climbing tower, everyone in the family is included in the fun. Of course, the elements which made the original FunZone such a hit are still included on the second floor of the complex, known as the Ozone. Additionally, toddlers can ignite their imaginations in the Littles’ Loft toddler discovery area. With features such as a bouncy castle, pirate ship inflatable obstacle course, and Vermont inspired country store, toddlers can let the energy out while playing like the grown-ups they admire.

Smugglers' original FunZone set the bar for resort family fun. When it opened in 1999 it was an innovative facility that was unparalleled at mountain resorts, and it quickly became one of the most popular features at Smugglers'. The new FunZone with its expanded space, more varied mix of features, and improved services is an example of Smugglers' continuing commitment to serving the interests of its family visitors through innovative programming and activities.

An awards trifecta
Smugglers’ is proud to receive the award for #1 in Service as voted in the SKI Magazine Reader Resort Survey. Additionally, Smugglers’ takes the #1 Kid Friendly award for the fourth straight year since the award’s inception in 2014. Smugglers’ also receives the #1 OVERALL award for the 2018 season, leading to a trifecta and exemplifying the Resort’s diversity in excellence. Smugglers’ managing director and owner, Bill Stritzler comments, “I am very proud of the efforts put forth by our staff. The members of our team have given 110% and deserve this recognition. Our guests are important to us and together make a wonderful and diverse community of families. We are grateful to have their loyalty.” In addition to these #1 rankings, Smugglers' landed in the top five in the categories of Snow, Terrain Variety, Terrain Challenge, Lodging, and Character.
