Step up, snap on, and you're flying! The ArborTrek Canopy Tour at Smugglers' Notch is the first of its kind in Vermont and guaranteed to give you an experience you'll never forget.
Following a mountain brook from high above Smugglers' Notch Resort Village, the 2 1/2- to 3-hour Zip Line Canopy Tour descends through mature stands of hemlock, white birch, and sugar maple. You'll soar down more than 4,500 feet of zip lines, cross sky bridges, and rappel from trees.
Enjoy stunning, seldom seen views of Smugglers' Notch Resort, Mount Mansfield, and Vermont's Green Mountains from scenic lookouts and tree platforms positioned high in the forest canopy. In keeping with Smugglers' commitment to environmental stewardship, you'll learn from your guide about the local flora and fauna, ecology and natural history. Zip Line Canopy Tours are open to Resort guests, day visitors and groups for year-round use. Advance reservations are highly recommended.

The Zip Line Canopy Tour is available year-round to individuals, families, and large groups. Choose from the following:
Arbor's Wild Ride
Open year-round. Our flagship eco-tour includes 9 zip lines, a sky bridge and 2 rappels. Each tour is escorted by two guides. The total experience is 2.5 to 3 hours. Departs from the ArborTrek Welcome Center, just a two minute drive from the Resort entrance, at 1239 Edwards Rd. Please call 1-800-419-4615 or 802-644-9300 for availability of Fall tours Monday - Wednesday, reservations for the Canopy Tour for Thursday - Sunday can be booked online All Smugglers’ Notch Resort guests receive 10% OFF per person on the Canopy Tour, normally priced at $99.95 per person, plus 6% tax and 1% booking fee.
Arbor's Express
Open to groups of 20 or more upon request and event days. An express version of our full canopy tour for those groups seeking high thrills, the tour includes 3 zip lines and a rappel. Tour times are 1 to 1.5 hours. Call 1-800-419-4615 or 802-644-9300 for availability and pricing.

The Zip Line Canopy Tour is designed for use by participants of average mobility and strength who are in reasonably good health. Participants should weigh between 70 and 250 pounds. The Zip Line Canopy Tour Participant Agreement must be read, acknowledged and signed by all Participants, adults and minors (persons under 18 years of age) AND a parent or guardian (each referred to as a "Parent") of a minor Participant.
