The Smugglers' Notch special winter carnival features music, face painting, games, a bonfire, and more. The festivities are from 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm on the Village Green. Always a family favorite hosted by Goodtime Charlie, Mogul Mouse, Billy Bob Bear, and the Friendly Pirate!

Location Smugglers' Notch, a year round mountain vacation resort, is located 30 miles east of the Burlington International Airport and five miles south of Jeffersonville on Route 108. The Resort is easily reached from Boston (225 miles), New York City (342 miles), and Montreal (91 miles).
Transportation Air - Flights to Burlington International Airport via JetBlue, Porter (winter season), American Airlines, United, Allegiant and Delta. Train - Amtrak service from New York, Philadelphia and other cities to Essex Junction, VT, a 40-minute drive from the Resort. Transfers - Smugglers' arranges shuttle services for plane and train passengers with advance reservations. Car rentals available at the airport.

Mountains & Waters Mountains - Morse, Sterling, and Madonna Mountains in the Green Mountain chain rise to a 3610' elevation from the Village. Historic Smugglers' Notch pass is an interesting drive; the Long Trail, a hiking path through the entire length of Vermont, crosses Madonna for easy access. Waters - Open daily through mid September, warm weather permitting, is the Mountainside Water Playground with an outdoor lap pool, Little Smugglers' Lagoon, 330' Giant Rapid River Ride and Turtle Mini-Waterslide. There is also a bath house with showers and changing rooms. The Courtside Pool is an indoor heated facility with hot tubs and bath house, available from mid-September on. The Village Pond and Sterling Pond provide great trout fishing, and the Lamoille River & Lake Champlain (the "Sixth Great Lake") are nearby. Special Activities ArborTrek Zip Line Canopy Tour - Enjoy the thrill of eight zip lines, two suspension bridges, and two rappels in this unique mountainside experience with gorgeous foliage and mountain views! TreeTop Obstacle Course - 50 elements such as swinging bridges, cargo nets and balance beams form a course that provides a physical challenge in the trees. Multiple courses accommodate kids as young as 4 years old as well as adults. Weekend availability.
Disc Golf - Enjoy Smugglers' disc golf course ... 9 holes in our Village Center and 18 holes in a beautiful woodland setting. Disc rentals and purchases are available. This is a game for all ages that combines a walk through the woods with the fun of throwing a disc.
Mountain Biking - There are 20 kilometers of beginner and intermediate double track as well as more challenging single track. Clinics and guided rides available. Bike rental shop offers bike and helmet rentals and some clothing.
Tennis - Tennis is available daily on 2 outdoor hard courts. Equipment is available through the Guest Service Desk.
Playgrounds for All Ages - Six playground sites scattered around the Resort are fitted with play structures for kids between the ages of six months and 12 years. They include the Pirate Ship Playground, the Fairy Castle Playground, and the Firefly Garden in the main Village; and the Star Playground and the Big Kid's Park nestled among the condominium clusters. There is also a playground at TREASURES child care center. Vacation Value with Smugglers' Fall Packages The AutumnFest package offers Smugglers' condominium lodging and programming at the lowest rates of the year. The package includes lodging and use of the pool and hot tubs. Guests also have the opportunity to enjoy Smugglers' woodland miniature golf, disc golf, shuffleboard, basketball and volleyball, mountain biking trails and skills parks, plus guided hikes and walks. Special interest classes such as nature photography, sculpting and more are fee-based. The cost for AutumnFest for a family of four staying two nights in a two bedroom condominium is $516; other lodging sizes and stays are available. With stays of 3 nights or more, an additional night is free.

The children are grouped by age with separate play and rest areas and developmentally appropriate learning opportunities, activities, and materials. TREASURES hosts Kids' Connection, a weekday program in which children age 7 and under can participate in either the morning session ($60, including lunch) or an all-day program ($85, including lunch). (AutumnFest guests receive a 50 percent discount on Kids' Connection.) Evening private babysitting is available. Reservations required. The Center is open from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm daily.
Fireflies are little ones aged 6 weeks to 16 months who will enjoy climbing, crawling, and spatial play, plus outdoor swings, strollers, and sunny decks.
Little Dippers are the 17 months to 3-year-olds who play together, sing, do crafts, and listen to stories. Outside they enjoy the sandbox, and swings.
Little Rascals is TREASURES' outdoor group fun program, a mini-camp for older campers up to 7 years old. Kids enjoy mini-hikes, water play, group games, arts & crafts, and picnic lunches. Resort Lodging All accommodations are mountainside condominiums ranging from studios to 5 bedroom townhouses, fully equipped, with kitchens.
