#1 Overall Resort in the East - SKI Magazine Reader Survey 2022

We’re All In This Together.

A successful ski and ride season at Smuggs this winter depends on each of us accepting a shared responsibility when it comes to safeguards and procedures related to COVID-19.

Our commitment to providing a great vacation experience has not wavered. We believe getting out on the mountain is one of the best activities you and your family can enjoy during the winter. All of our policies are subject to change based on the evolving nature of the pandemic, as well as federal, state, and local public health guidelines.

Please stay home if you are sick or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. To learn more about our safety protocols, please read on.

We want you and your family to be safe when traveling to Smuggs. The information below covers the current Resort policies & guidelines. This will be updated as needed to guide you.

Health & Travel

Health & Travel Information

The following information contains details you should be aware of before traveling to Smuggs, in order to have a great experience during your stay.

Keep Up To Date

Employee Health & Safety

Employees are required to wear masks at all indoor locations. Employees will wear masks outdoors only when they can't maintain a 6-foot distance while interacting with our guests. Unvaccinated employees are required to wear masks at all times.

Comfortable Capacity Message

Lift tickets are limited this winter in accordance with our comfortable carrying capacity (CCC). The CCC is a formula for keeping the number of skiers and riders manageable on the mountain. Once we have met the CCC, the daily sales of tickets will cease. Please refer to the Snow Report or Hugh’s Views for updated messaging when our CCC is reached.

Guest Masks

Masks will be greatly appreciated in indoor settings. This includes our restaurants, restrooms, retail, and rental locations. Masks are required on our shuttles and in the Go Zone at FunZone 2.0. Masks will not be required outdoors, in lift lines, or on chairlifts, unless required by local public health authorities.

Cleaning and Disinfecting

Hand sanitizing stations are provided throughout the Resort. We are frequently using EPA-approved products that kill the COVID-19 virus on all of our high-touch surfaces and restrooms. We are applying enhanced cleaning and disinfecting practices across our Resort.
