Bird Watching at Smuggs

Experienced birder or just beginning, we’ve got something for everyone!

We have a Birds and Bloomers Walk offered Tuesday at 8:00 am.

For insider tips on bird watching in the areas surrounding the Village, try our self-guided Intro to Bird Watching pamphlets. Organized by habitat, they cover Deciduous and Mixed Woodlands, Meadows and Hedge Rows and Marshy Areas.

Check out the assortment of guidebooks, binoculars and bird song books available at the Clubhouse. Our special Birds for Kids packs include “kid friendly” bird books and binoculars.

Watch the Vermont Public Television special “Birding in Vermont” hosted by Bryan Pfeiffer, photographer, consulting naturalist and author. DVD on loan at the Clubhouse.

Visit the Green Mountain Audubon Center and the Birds of Vermont Museum in Huntington.
