Talk Like a Pirate Day

Argh me hearties! So yer ‘ere to learn the vast secrets of this sacred day that soon be upon us!? You guessed it, we’re referring to ‘International Talk Like a Pirate Day’.

What Do I do?
This part is easy. Make sure you grab yourself an eye patch, bandana, baggy shirt and a little toy parrot or monkey. Make sure you use awful grammar and jump right into that accent. Then join these special Smuggs activities:

5:00 pm Friendly Pirate Family Bingo
It’s not your mama’s bingo - its bingo pirate-style hosted by Rockin Ron the Friendly Pirate. Instead of letters and numbers it’s pirate symbols (parrots, cannons, hooks, etc). You could win pirate prizes! Meet in the lower level of the Meeting House.

6:00 pm Friendly Pirate Sing-Along

Rockin' Ron the Friendly Pirate plays original songs from his 5 albums including Shark in the Dark, Pirate Party Pooper (International Songwriting Contest semi-finalist), She Can Be a Captain Too, Black Snake Tale (about Vermont Pirates), and more. Meet in the lower level of the Meeting House.

6:30 pm Talk Like a Pirate and Dress Like a Pirate Contest
